Storage Virtualization and Management covers companies that have products that virtualize storage and manage either the data or the underlying infrastructure. Interfaces to server virtualization solutions and management for storage automation are key areas of coverage. Email archiving coverage addresses the myriad of companies and strategies that are available to enterprises looking to either ensure legal compliance or maintain historical records of email conversations. Coverage areas include: Server Virtualization and Management - Includes all enterprise products and services which provide server operating system virtualization in the data center as well as all of the associated management and automation functions that bring the real value of the solutions to the enterprise. This includes automation, deployment, redundancy, and all other aspects of server virtualization. Storage Virtualization and Management – Covers enterprise products and services used to transform traditional SAN block storage to virtual storage pools, manage and automate the virtualized storage infrastructure. This can include native and 3rd party virtualization and the management necessary to control and automate the process. Email Archiving – Covers enterprise products and services that work with Microsoft’s Exchange email software and offers specific features for archiving, searching, and retrieving archived emails.
